Fire Station OUT NOW!

Roll up! Roll up!  Early Vision’s eagerly anticipated new play pack, ‘Off to the’ FIRE STATION, has been released!

With almost an hour of fantastic real-life video footage, and more than 60 pages of support notes in the digital handbook, this is a wonderful and comprehensive addition to your role play resources.

At the Station

Meet 'Black Watch' as they start their shift and go about the daily tasks at the station. See Claude checking over the Fire Engine, and watch his colleagues as they practice their use of ropes and ladders and keep fit by working out in the gym. Finally, see them responding to a 'shout' at a caravan park.

Bonus Footage

Interview with a fire fighter: Listen to Joanne Singh as she explains the role of the fire and rescue service and describes the breakdown of what each Watch does during a Shift.

999 printout and Breathing Apparatus officer: Claude Elliott shows us the ‘999’ printout machine, telling us how it works and what information is sent through to the fire station in the event of an emergency.

As Breathing Apparatus Control Officer, Claude then explains the training exercise and describes the importance of his role in monitoring the oxygen levels in the fire fighters tanks and ensuring they have enough air to survive when they enter a fire.

Fire Safety check at the Nursery: Watch David, a retained fire fighter, come to the Nursery to perform routine checks on all the fire safety equipment, looking at the fire log, and testing the smoke alarms, fire extinguishers and checking the fire alarm is in good working order.

Fire Training Centre: several members of the black Watch crew attend Severn Fire and Rescue Centre to take part in a container fire training course. See them participating in a classroom theory course, before practising what they have learnt on a real container fire.

Over 60 pages of role-play Guidance, writing frames, photographs, detailed EYFS planning, KS 1 notes, plus information packs of fire safety equipment and much, much more.

All this, for just £25!

This is a truly inspiring resource for your children, and will be a valuable addition to your role play resource pack.  We also sell fire fighter books and dressing up clothes, as well as a fire engine play house, to complete your fire station home corner.
